McDonald's new McBakery launches 7/16/08 in Tokyo, Japan

Japanese Customers in Tokyo will enjoy the fresh taste of pastries at McDonalds from tomorrow 7/16/08 when the new McBakery (Japanese site) is launched in stores. The fresh bakery craze in Japan has taken off with small stores popping up all over quiet neighbours as away to generate new customers and the demand has been strong. Japanese customers have developed a sweet tooth and pastry, cakes and sweets have taken their fancy.
The new McDonalds line up looks at this stage to consist of three main bakery items, 1. melon pan, 2. sugar croissant and 3, choco danish pastry all are advertised with the recently launched premium roast coffee. (Japanese site)
There are five teaser commercials and a final one airing tomorrow on the launch date.
As the bakery products are along side the new premium roast coffee we can imagine that they would be competitively priced maybe in the 100 yen range.A deal with coffee and a bakery item would make sense and collect a new segment of workers who don't eat breakfast before starting work.
