“Apple Inc.'s iPad tablet computer consists mostly of electronics parts made by South Korean and Taiwanese companies, according to a report released Wednesday by U.S. research firm iSuppli Corp. ..The report found that the battery is the only of the device's 14 major components that is associated with a Japanese company. But even the battery comes from Hong Kong, where it is built by Amperex Technology Ltd., a TDK Corp. subsidiary.”
