Golden week vacation in Japan may have caused Tuna prices to spike according to report

"the recent holidays in Japan, the world’s top consumer of tuna, during which top-grade sushi and sashimi is traditionally eaten and has an important cultural significance. At a recent auction in Tokyo, a single prize tuna sold for $736,000, roughly $1,240 per pound."
