China welcomed a record number of Japanese tourists in first half of 2012

'China...last year welcomed some 3,657,500 Japanese (-1.97%)...In the first six months of this year, the number of Japanese setting foot in China reached 1,878,200, ahead +12.37% from a year ago and the second-highest count ever after 2010. Both Beijing (253,347, up +19.70%) and Shanghai (501,667, ahead +12.44%) are showing record trends, with summer numbers yet to be revealed.'
