"A recent report by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism argues that Japan should concentrate its tourism strategy on Southeast Asia as a chief “market of growth.” The ministry sets a goal of increasing the number of visitors from the region to 1 million by the end of the year, from about 780,000 in 2012."
