Average nationwide minimum wage in Japan stands at just 749 yen per hour

"minimum wages.The current nationwide average stands at 749 yen per hour....previous requests, in fiscal 2007 and fiscal 2010, resulted in increases of 14 yen and 17 yen, respectively. Many believe that a hike of at least 10 yen this time is needed to help defeat deflation"
