Foreign tourists to Japan up 18 percent in July 2013 with South Korea and Taiwan visitors leading

"The Japan National Tourism Organization said Wednesday that a record high number of foreigners came to Japan in July. The JNTO said 1,003,100 foreigners visited Japan, which was an increase of 18.4% over July 2012....the highest number of tourists came from South Korea, followed by Taiwan. The number of visitors from Thailand showed the biggest increase — up by 84.7%, thanks to the visa exemption."
