Japan looks to methane hydrate as an energy source since the shutting down of its nuclear reactors

" Japan had a strong reason to pursue methane hydrates since shutting down most of its nuclear reactors two years ago after the meltdown at the Fukushima power station the country has has relied on liquified natural gas imported from countries such as Qatar and Brunei"
