Kaisendon is a dish of rice with seasonal fish placed on top and well enjoyed in Japanese cuisine

"Kaisendon is a dish of rice in a don bowl, covered in seasonal fish such as tuna, octopus, shrimp, scallops, salmon eggs, sea urchin and so on. It was originally the food of fisherman out at sea, or was eaten as a dish known as "ryoshi-meshi" or fishermans food , near ports"
