Japanese invest in ASEAN has tripled in past five years according to BOJ

"Japanese investment to ASEAN nations almost tripled from five years ago to Y 20.1 trillion ($180 billion) at the end of last year (2015), according to Bank of Japan data... For a third straight year, in 2015 the amount of foreign direct investment from Japan to ....(ASEAN) exceeded such investment in CHina and Hong Kong, according to figures compiled by the Japan External Trade Organisation"
