Fast Retailing offers scholarships for Japanese students to study in the US according to report

"Fast Retailing Co....the operator of the Uniqlo causal clothing chain will launch a scholarship program for Japanese studying design and business in the U.S...The company plans to grant a maximum of 1.6 million dollars, or 120 million yen, for two years for a total of 10 Japanese students at the graduate schools of Stanford University, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and Parsons The New School for Design. ...Yanai (Chairman & President) said fashion and business are connected in the U.S., but that Japan has is short on excellent entrepreneurs.
