New exercise gizmo for posture

Japanese Customers are concerned about their health and fitness and this has been reflected in trends such as describing the calories in a food product and new exercise regimes, and machines. One new machine that has been recently released is the Joba, manufactured by Matsushita . Joba means horse riding in Japanese and the machine replicates the experience of riding a horse. It tilts, rotates and moves the rider gently, through a course of a figure eight pattern much like a rodeo rider might experience but at a slower and more comfortable speed and position. According to studies done by Matsushita, a typical 15 minute session on the Joba can burn up to 50 calories which is great news for consumers who are keen to find ways to reduce calories and weight. Gym memberships particularly for women have boomed in the past few years with new style gyms opening up around the suburbs. Taisou a Japanese word meaning, gymnastics and physical exercise is popular on radio programs and on television in the afternoons so Japanese Customers of all ages can participate in a wide range of ways to keep fit, healthy and active. Staff at a local car yard exercise together every morning before starting work, salespeople, office staff , mechanics and senior managers all line up outside the showroom and take position for a 10-minute exercise and team-building drill each morning.

As many Japanese Customers spend a lot of time sitting while commuting and at work based around a computer, there is little time to exercise as they would like to. A machine that does the work for them and burns calories is a much welcomed and sought after product.

The Joba allows users to "develop muscle strength, maintain good posture, strengthen the spine and trains the nerve system to improve motor functions".
