#1. Housing

"According to a survey by the land ministry, 79.8 percent of Japanese people say they want to own their own home. It’s the first time in 12 years that the figure has dipped under 80 percent."

#2. Retail sales

"data from the METI shows that retail sales increased by 0.8% in May compared to a year earlier and by 1.5% from the previous month, but large-scale retailers saw a 0.4% year-on-year decline in sales. Further, Japanese consumer prices avoided deflationary territory in May despite a surprise decline in household spending."
