Japan's culture of rice cultivation is thought to have begun in the Jomon period

" The word mizuho refers to young, green ears of rice. Japanese have always eaten rice and Japan's culture of rice cultivation is thought to have begun around three thousand years ago  during the Jomon Era ( 10,000 -300 BC) "
